Trouble’s Coming

This is the second part of two messages on this passage. Last time we considered the meaning and the fulfillment of this text in 171-164 BC under the persecution of the wicked king Antiochus Epiphanes IV.

After considering the meaning of this passage, now we consider the reason why it was given. Why was this prophecy of great tribulation revealed to Daniel? What did God want the people of Israel to know and do because of this revelation?

So let us avoid date setting and speculations, be prepared, be discerning, be hopeful and be trusting our great and sovereign God.
