The Son From the Father

This is the second part of a sermon series on the Trinity. This sermon examines John 1:14 and the phrase "the only Son from the Father" or "the only begotten from the Father." We explore the doctrine of the eternal generation of the Son considering why this makes known the unity and the relationship of Father and Son in God. Finally, this sermon considers three practical applications with exhortations considering this doctrine.

Tim Stephens

Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children.
