The garden of Gethsemane; a place where the bitter anguish of Christ stands out among the rest. If there is one place in Scripture where the posture of the Lord shocks and confuses many an evangelical, it is the garden. Why such suffering on the part of the King of kings? Alex Russell

Alex Russell is the associate pastor at Fairview Baptist church. Raised in Drumheller for most of his life, Alex moved to Calgary as an adult with his wife Erika, where they both came to know Christ. They joined the body at Fairview in 2018. There, Alex began to train in ministry alongside Pastor Tim and pursue seminary studies at Reformed Baptist Seminary. He became an associate pastor in the winter of 2021. He and his wife Erika are blessed with three children.
