The Authority of Scripture

Scripture is the word of God, therefore to disbelieve or disobey the Scriptures is to disbelieve or disobey God himself. Not only that but Scripture is self-attesting, demonstrating itself to be God's word. Ultimately, we recognize the voice of our Creator and Lord through the Scripture.

These truths are explained from Scripture as well as handling common objections to these claims.

The Doctrine of Scripture is the foundation of reformed theology. All the glorious truths about God, Jesus Christ and redemption flow from these fundamental doctrines.

Tim Stephens

Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children.
