Predestination and Prayer: Does prayer for the lost matter?

Do our prayers make a difference? If God knows the future and who will be saved do our prayers for their salvation work? If predestination is true and God has determined who will be saved, then how can our prayers matter?

This sermon examines these important questions. The goal is not only to be satisfied intellectually that prayer and predestination are friends that do not need reconciliation. The goal is for us to be motivated to pray and share the truth of Jesus.

Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children.
