The Foundation: God’s Power

The rescue of sinners from the penalty of sin, the power of sin, and the domain of darkness is a result of the supernatural power of God. The same power that spoke this universe into existence is the same power towards and working in his people.

Don't accept a counterfeit god with no power. Don't accept a counterfeit man-made religion that is not marked by the power of God. The gospel is God's power to save for all who believe.

The Glory of God in the Salvation of Sinners

This nine part series examines the greatness of God as he displays his splendor in the salvation of sinful creatures. Our most important pursuit is to know God and God has rescued broken sinners to make his character and power known. Let us rejoice in him.

Tim Stephens

Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children.
