The Result: Display of Power, Wisdom and Glory

In the final part of this series we look at the power of the preaching of Jesus Christ crucified. It must be preached and through its preaching God will be glorified. Not only this, but we must be aware that it will be rejected so we avoid the lies of false gospels that are more easily received. God, in his plan, determines that the preaching of his word will be used to bring his people to salvation.

May this give us boldness and confidence to share the message of the gospel.

The Glory of God in the Salvation of Sinners

This nine part series examines the greatness of God as he displays his splendor in the salvation of sinful creatures. Our most important pursuit is to know God and God has rescued broken sinners to make his character and power known. Let us rejoice in him.

Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children.
