Beggar for Mercy

In this sermon we consider a blind beggar who cries out to Jesus for healing. We not only see the power, compassion, and authority of Jesus, we see the manner in which a poor beggar finds salvation. The blind beggar is typical of all sinners who cry to Jesus and are healed. May we learn what it looks like to be desperate and cry out to Jesus until he grants our request.

Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children.
