A Call to Prayer

Many seek to define the greatest deficiency of the church and what we must do to bring renewal and health to God's people today. What we see in the Scripture is a call to prayer. The prayers of Scripture are not for health, wealth, or prosperity. The prayers of Scripture are most often about knowing God. And so, if we desire renewal, if we have grown cold or dry, it is time we make prayer a priority. And in those prayers, we must make knowing God our highest priority.



Spiritual Revival

Are you feeling cold or dry? Perhaps you feel you are no longer making progress as a follower of Christ? What do we seek if we want renewal or revival? What must we do? In this five-part series we look at the importance and priority of prayer. Each sermon, we see an example from Scripture that guides and directs our priorities and how we ought to pray for God's blessing and favor.

Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children.
